Cuddling with Mom.

July 7, 2011-Cuddling with Mom. These four kittens were born under my ramp. I couldn't see them as the mother hid them well from Jasper and me. But when I was outside I would hear their meows. My neighbor who's cat this is came over and was going to move them to her house, but she couldn't get to them. A few days later she found the kittens on her front door steps. Animals just amaze me. Ren wants to show you...

April 2, 2011-Ren was feeling a bit neglected, and he wanted me to take his picture and use it for the dailies. “He said he had something neat to show everyone. He said his best friend besides Treeson, is his wagon; he can use it to haul anything and he never leaves the house without his backpack. His backpack is very special, it contains his secrets and because it holds his secrets he won't show me or anyone what is inside. Oh and he forgot to add Panda as his best friend too. Bambi and Thumper

March 5, 2011-Bambi and Thumper, well not quite, this cat and the deer are used to each other. I have seen the cats walk through the center of the deer herd as they are foraging for food. The deer sometimes get startled if the cats chase each other but not enough fright to flee. (Day 64 #365project @sharkbayte)

Day 175/365-The toad

Found this guy stalking bugs right in the breeze way. I believe he is the Eastern American Toad (Bufo americanus) versus Fowler's toad if any one knows correct id please let me know. #365Project (settings: 300.0mm 1/5s f/22.0 ISO: 400 for the top pic)
This was a surprise to find him tonight, as I was heading out to shoot the moon for my collection project. Although I did try the moon had too many clouds covering it. So I took this guys pics instead. I had the wrong lens and didn't have my speedlite with me. I am not that pleased with the pictures but didn't want to spook him and have him hop off on me.

This is my friends dog Pearlie Mae or Pearl. She is not as active as Jasper is, but she lets you know she is there and means business.

02.24.2010 (55/365) 365 Project - It's MINE!

Jasper was playing tug-of-war, when I sort of sneaked up on him. But he caught me. (darn wheelchair makes a noise, very slight click, but it let's you know you've engaged the motor). Jasper loves playing...ALL DAY! he even brings his toys to bed at night! I have to laugh at some of the things I see he has brought to sleep with...

I was taking photos and really wanted a shot of Jasper with his new "baby". But no matter what Jasper was running around or going nutz with his new baby. So I never got a shot of the two of them. This shot was when Iwas playing around with the camera settings. just thought it was a cute shot of him. he stood still for about 3 nanosecons!
Well Dan Board seems to be wondering if this is a tool or a weapon to use on Jun rabbit.. I hoping to use more of the anime characters for the daily photos. I only tweaked color and contrast and not by much. I haven't used any photography editors on my photos but I think I should use it to tweak them more.

Day 32-Project 365 (032/365) Sneaking up on him. I had to shoot through the vertical blinds on the door to get him.

I only got a few shots today, as he spotted me and I guess he heard Jasper barking. (I believe the barking alerted him enough to turn around and see me). I wish I could get outside to shoot these guys, but my wheelchair is allergic to ice. I cannot risk going off the patio with the chair like I did the other day on the side walk. so for now these are about the best I can do.

Day 31 _ Project 365 (031/365) Sorry, it's all gone!

Today is a month I started this project and I am happy I am still doing it! I thought I would get some more outdoor shots today as it was very sunny out and thought things would be melting. But seeing they didn't plow or clear any sidewalks, walkways or even the parking lot if it was melting its freezing back up on top of the snow. I was told we got 6 inches of snow and 2 inches of ice. Yesterday I went outside and thought I would see how things were. My chair slipped off the walkway and into a ditch! So all the photos I took yesterday were through the sliding glass door, while I was on the phone. they aren't the best but they came pretty good. You can see more of the birds on my flickr or smugmug pages.

Day 30 - Project 365 Just watching! (030/365)

Couldn't pick between the two photos, as to which one I wanted to use today for my picture. I am siding with the bottom one now.

Day 20- 365 Project (020/365)

What ever happened here today, I know nothing!...This is the look I got when I finally got back from my doctors appointment! (I tried posting on the 20th, however, I kept getting an error message from the service. So this is the first time it let it go through). I will be posting today's shot later on today.

For My Buddy Mike-I'll never forget you.

Mike was that once in a lifetime friend. It was an honor for me to be his friend and neighbor. Mike was just awesome. I don't get close to people in such a short time as I had done with Mike. Every night we would meet outside with the dogs, have tea or coffee and play with the dogs, solve the world's problems and just shoot the breeze. In the mornings, Mike would knock on my door to see if I was awake yet and we would have a cup of coffee before he headed out to work. I had just moved into my apartment, on Mike's birthday and the rest is history. He has a lovely wife Laura, who is just as awesome. And 3 daughters whom I never met, because they have their parents genes these women must be just as awesome. I did however, meet his two furry daughters and they were my furry son were best buds.

this is my second post today, I couldn't concentrate on my photography or anything else today, so I made this collage of Mike, using the photos I had. (I had just gotten my first digital camera as you can see in the photos.) Mike was supportive of me learning photography. Actually he was supportive and encouraged me to do whatever it was I wanted to do. He helped build and put the ramp outback so I could go out into the back yard. (Major thing for me!)

Rest in peace Mike, I will remember you forever! The world lost a hero, friend and an awesome person. Your light will shine brightly in the heavens! I'll look for you there, until we meet again!

Day 16 365 Project (016/365)

Oh, the Shark, babe, has such pretty teeth, dear...and shows them pearly whites... I love that song. Mack the knife kept running through my head as I was thinking about using these for todays photo. I got this set of teeth and a package of loose teeth for Christmas this year. I added them to my own collection of various shark teeth I have found while beach combing when I walked. I used to find a lot right by the dock where I kept my boat. Ah the good old days! LOL! I miss my boat...and those days.
