Day 139- Sumerians were the first peoples to produce straws and they used them for drinking beer!

They used the straws to avoid the solid byproducts from the fermentation process. 3 different shots of the same group of straws. I love this lens! Bottom photo I didn't use a flash but the other 2 I did.

#365Project-I have another picture for tonight as I had a hard time shooting this, flash wasn't working correctly, as it fired when it wanted to. I just changed the batteries as well so maybe the batteries are duds? I am hoping.

I darken the shadows a touch because it was looking to pale on both shots. The blue background is sea salt and the black background is regular table salt.

(2010.05.10) #365Project- this thing landed in the breeze way, it was a few feet above my head, no lighting in the area until 8pm or so. After I took this shot I had to use my flash and I don't like that with insects.
