One flower

August 26, 2011-My neighbor's bush has only this one flower on it. She said its a gardenia bush, but it doesn't have a scent to it. (238:365)

Wisteria

March 30, 2011-Wisteria hanging from the trees. I wanted to get closer but there was no way I could with the ditches surrounding the area it is growing in.  There was a branch running across the center of this, I tried to remove it without showing the edits. I was told this was a Christmas Cactus, but it seems to bloom close to Thanksgiving each year.

Snack time.

Snack time...For a Katydid. These yellow flowers were today's meal. I have some where the flower is in his mouth. I'll post those later. A wildflower and guest

The Lady Bug and Company

This flower has a load of visitors, aphids, fly and the Lady Bug. I believe this is a seven-spotted Lady Beetle Coccinella septempunctata. 284:365 (2010.10.11) @sharkbayte

A Hidden Pond.

The Pond.

I have been waiting for months to get to this pond (actually there are two ponds). Thanks to my new chair I was able to make it here! It was very windy and I waited for some calm water but that never happened. If my chair could go through the woods I could get here very quickly. Day 279 #365Project (2010.10.06) @sharkbayte

Day 267- various shots of the grasshopper eating

On the move in search of more food. He just swallowed what I think was a bug and some plant material. Caught him as he was moving towards the next course. #365Project Day 267 (2010.09.24) @sharkbayte

Side view of the grasshopper. These are all macro shots, he was very tiny. But the lens makes it look much larger. It was very hot and humid again today so I only stayed out about 15 minutes if that. My lupus gets worse with the sun and UV lights, so I try not to over do it when outside. With the heat and humidity I wonder when it will start to get down into the 70's or even 80's would be some relief!!
