Day 204- Another Blue dasher (sorry)

I have more shots on flickr or smugmug. I found a different dragon fly today to shoot. He actually posed for me. I cropped a few and tweaked the contrast on one or two out of the 9 I have, the rest are SOOC and hand held. #365Project @sharkbayte (2010.07.23)

Day 203 #365Project-It's the Blue Dasher!, originally uploaded by sharkbayte.

Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) a skimmer. If you enlarge this you can see the bristles or little hairs on his head and neck. He was above my head so this is actually from the bottom side view. Settings: 100.0mm f/2.8 1/200s ISO:200 @sharkbayte (2010.07.22)

Day 196/365 Coming in for a landing.

I believe this is a common whitetail dragon fly "Plathemis_lydia" #365Project (settings: 100.0mm f/6.3 1/400s ISO:400) @sharkbayte

Day 188- Taking a break.

Top 3 pictures are of the dragon fly, I couldn't get any closer than what you see here. The bottom shot is of an immature Cicada nymph exoskeleton. Only processing I did was cropping on all. I believe only one picture I hit the auto contrast tweak but not sure if I did and reversed it.

Day 179/356- My First Dragon Fly.

And a disappointment. As I was trying to set up my shot, my shirt sleeve caught the joystick on my wheelchair and sent me speeding towards him. This seems to spook a lot of creatures, my self included. LOL! #365project-settings: 100.0m f/2.8 1/15s ISO: 200
