Meet Gene the crocodile.

March 28, 2011-Meet Gene, he is a crocodile of course and he is around
fifty years old, which is very young for crocodiles. He used to live
with his grandmother on the Nile in Africa before he left to see the
world. When his money ran out he searched for a job and found one at
the zoo. This is the same zoo where Cheburashka was brought to live.
Gene’s job at the zoo was to sit in an enclosure that had a pool, some
rocks, a lounge chair and a tree and when visitors came to the zoo,
they always stop and talk to Gene and bring him treats. When the zoo
closes at night, Gene returns home to his lonely apartment. He has
some hobbies but no friends outside of the zoo. Gene is tired of
living alone and not having friends; perhaps having Cheburashka live
with him would change all this for the better. Cheburashka could also
work at the zoo and have his own enclosure to play in during the day.
